Paper Rex’s Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie is considered one of the world’s top duelist players.

According to Valorant’s Character Producer, John Goscicki, the Singaporean pro’s unique playstyle will be commemorated with the launch of Agent 24.

In a State of the Agents blog post shared on September 29, Goscicki teased players with the incoming changes to Deadlock and a few hints about the upcoming duelist agent that will be released before the year ends.

It has been nearly two years since Neon, the most recent duelist agent, was released. According to Goscicki, “ego-fraggers” have been asking for a new duelist to be added to the roster.

“At its core, Valorant is a team-based Tac Shooter where gunplay shines,” he said. “For some of you, that means aspiring to plow through enemies like Jinggg and putting hours in clicking those orbs with aim trainers for a clean 5k.”

How Jinggg and PRX came up with this creative Raze play

Goscicki shared that the upcoming duelist agent will be for those with a similar playstyle to Jinggg.

PRX showcased their explosive strategies throughout the VCT 2023 season, and at the center of their W Gaming mentality was Jinggg, the team’s Raze and Phoenix main.

Jinggg was the tip of the spear of PRX’s aggressive playstyle, often being the first one entrying when they made their pushes as attackers and defenders.

PRX’s hyper-aggressive plays earned them the inaugural VCT Pacific League championship, defeating DRX in a 3-2 reverse sweep in the grand final.

The team also excelled on the international stage, securing a 3rd place finish at Masters Tokyo behind Evil Geniuses and Fnatic. PRX ended their VCT 2023 season as the runner-up of Valorant Champions 2023, losing to Evil Geniuses 3-1 in the grand final.

Jinggg won’t be able to join PRX in the VCT next season because of his mandatory National Service starting in 2024.

This obligation will prevent him from competing for at least a year. But fans can look forward to the release of Agent 24, which will remind everyone of PRX’s “insane Raze player.”

The blog post’s last clue comes from Goscicki, who wrote, “We’ve got a little twist you never thought would make it into Valorant. Some of you may have been dreaming in the right direction.”
