Riot’s Teamfight Tactics Open kicks off on December 8 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is the first ever global LAN event for the popular auto battler.

The USD$300,000 event titled the TFT Vegas Open will feature a total of 512 players competing for a slice of the massive prize pool.

The TFT Vegas Open boasts the biggest prize pool for the game yet

The tournament will run at the MGM Grand from December 8 to 10 and features both professional players and those hopeful of making a name for themselves.

The grand champion at the end will walk away with a trophy and a pocket full of USD$100,000.

There will be a second chance tournament for the first 128 players to enter, however, it will only be for a trophy, as the tournament will not reward any prize money.

Players will earn points based on their placement in each individual game. Below you can find how much each placing will be worth from 1st to 8th.

  • 1st place: 8 points
  • 2nd place: 7 points
  • 3rd place: 6 points
  • 4th place: 5 points
  • 5th place: 4 points
  • 6th place: 3 points
  • 7th place: 2 points
  • 8th place: 1 point

Below you can find the official schedule as provided by Riot Games:

Day 1 – December 8

  • Round 1: 512 players will be split into Lobbies of 8 and play 3 games each. The top 4 players from each Lobby will advance to Round 2.
  • Round 2: 256 players will be split into Lobbies of 8 and play 3 games each. The top 4 players from each Lobby will advance to Round 3.

Day 2 – December 9

  • Round 3: 128 players will be split into Lobbies of 8 and play 4 games each. The top 2 players from each Lobby will advance to Round 4.
  • Round 4: 32 players will be split into Lobbies of 8 and play 4 games each. The top 2 players from each Lobby will advance to the Finals.

Day 3 – December 10

  • Finals: The top 8 players will play in a checkmate format. The first player to earn 20 points, and then get 1st place in a game will be crowned the TFT Vegas Open Champion!
