The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang GOAT is back.

Bren Esports star Carlito “Ribo” Ribo Jr. is returning to pro play with Z4 Esports, the esports organization owned by Smart Omega player Billy “Z4pnu” Alfonso, the organization announced yesterday.

Earlier this year, the Bren Esports gold laner announced that he was taking a break before Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines Season 9 (MPL PH Season 9) began. Bren Esports eventually failed to qualify for the playoffs that season, after finishing seventh in the standings.

The announcement was posted on the organization’s Facebook page, officially welcoming the 27-year-old to the new squad.

“He will be playing under our management and he’ll be with us throughout our journey on this scene,” they wrote.

The veteran presence of one of the most accomplished MLBB players in MPL PH would be a valuable addition to the team.

The organization has already been dominating the amateur scene since its inception. To date, it has won the MLBB Supremo League, Underground League Season 6, Codashop Global Series Tournament, Lakandiwa Cup Season 11, and Tambay League Summer Cup.

The team is looking forward to adding more trophies to their collection as they compete at the Juicy Legends Tournament Q2 playoffs lower bracket final on June 25.

However, it’s still unclear whether Z4pnu’s esports team will join MPL PH Season 10 or continue to compete in amateur tournaments.

In a vlog posted last year, Z4pnu said that he was interested in joining MPL PH’s franchise league should they open up more slots.

“It’s still uncertain if Z4 Esports will be joining the franchise league because there’s still no update from Moonton if there will be 8 or 10 teams,” said Z4pnu. “But if there will be 10 slots, we will join the league.”

Considered one of the best players in the region, Ribo is a two-time MPL PH champion, winning first with Aether Main during MPL PH Season 1 and then Bren Esports in MPL PH Season 6.

He picked up his biggest trophy yet last year, clinching the M2 World Championship with Bren Esports.
