SANDBOX Gaming has added another big name to its 2021 roster in Lee “Effort” Sang-ho. This will be Effort’s second team after spending three years in T1’s elaborate roster system.

Effort will be joining SANDBOX after a solid 2020 season with T1. While the team was just a series away from going to Worlds 2020, Effort was one of the team’s better support players, providing ADC Park “Teddy” Jin-seong with reliable set-ups.

He ended the Summer season in second for assists (323) behind Ryu “Keria” Min-seok (401) and third for wards per minute (1.83).

As for the organization, SANDBOX Gaming is looking towards building a stronger dynasty in the LCK franchise system. While the team does its best to foster the best talent from its Academy team, SANDBOX still comes up short when going against other big Korean squads like T1.

With the team saving themselves from relegation in the mid-season and coming in seventh with former head coach Jakob “YamatoCannon” Mebdi in Summer, it looks like Effort will be just one of the many upgrades to bolster their chances at a higher standing.

The new support player will likely take a starting support position and will join the likes of Park “Summit” Woo-tae and Kim “OnFleek” Jang-gyeom. Seeing as how the org is currently fielding an eight-man roster for 2021, we’re bound to see Effort pull off some strong showings with a myriad of line-ups.
