Universal Studios Japan has finally announced that its highly-anticipated Super Nintendo World theme park will open early next year in Spring 2021.

Since Japan is known for its cherry blossoms during the season, attendees should expect a packed attraction launch which consists of locals and tourists anytime from March to May.

Prior to the opening, USJ is giving fans a tease by launching a Super Mario-themed cafe and store located at the Hollywood Boulevard area. Six new café items will be available, including a reusable Super Mushroom drink bottle which comes with a long strap.

Official Nintendo goods will also be available on the store. You can’t go home without getting a box of Mario fruitcake which has individually-wrapped treats in orange and cherry flavors.

Aside from these merchandise, tees and mugs will also be up for grabs at the gift shop. Here’s an illustration of the cafe and store, which opens this October 16.

Since unofficial photos of the incomplete theme park attraction got leaked last May, fans have been tracking Super Nintendo World’s features from afar. It will be located right across the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction and will feature a giant green pipe as its special entrance.

As we already know, Super Nintendo World will debut with two rides named Super Mario Kart Ride and Yoshi’s Adventures. The attraction will also utilize smart wristbands called a Power Up Band and an app that attendees can use to play different games on three different levels.

Super Nintendo World will be a part of Universal Studios Japan located at the Konohana-ku ward in Osaka, Japan.
