We all love free stuff so who can say no to free Pokemon Licenses in Pokemon Unite?
Aeos Coins can be hard to come by so it makes sense that you don’t want to spend them on Pokemon you’ll get for free anyway.
Here are all eight free Pokemon you can unlock in Pokemon Unite!
Pikachu
Of all the free Pokemon you can get in Pokemon Unite, Pikachu is the easiest one to unlock since he’s immediately available when you start playing.

To get Pikachu, simply head on over to the Events tab and scroll down to the Preregistration Campaign. There you can claim various rewards including the free Pikachu license and its adorable Festive Style: Pikachu holowear skin.
Note: This campaign is only available to claim on mobile.
Alolan Ninetales
As tempting as it might be, don’t spend your Aeos Coins on this beauty because you can unlock Alolan Ninetales for free simply by logging in!
Alolan Ninetales is part of the daily login reward event
All you need to do is simply log into Pokemon Unite on two separate days. On day two, go to the events tab and claim her from the 14-Day Welcome Gift.
Slowbro
If you didn’t pick up Snorlax’s free license after the tutorial, Slowbro will probably end up being the first Defender you can unlock.

To get Slowbro, all you need to do is to reach trainer level two which you can do easily by playing a match or two. When you hit level two, you can claim Slowbro through the trainer level up menu in the top left corner of the home screen.
Venusaur
One of the original starters in the Pokemon series, Bulbasaur fans will be happy to know that they don’t need to save up to buy Venusaur.

As a trainer level up reward, Venusaur will be available to claim once you reach level five. When you hit level five, head on over to the trainer level up menu in the top left corner of the home screen to unlock this fearsome grass starter.

Zeraora
One of the most fun and annoying Pokemon in the game, Zeraora is available for free if you can complete his special event.
Complete Zeraora’s special event to get this powerful legendary
Though you can get Zeraora for free, you’ll need to win a number of Pokemon Unite matches to claim him. 32 Pokemon Unite games to be exact. You can check your progress in the events tab labeled Zeraora’s Mission. Once you’ve nailed all the wins needed, Zeraora is all yours.
Crustle
One of the plainer-looking Pokemon, Crustle is much stronger than he looks and is available for free to unlock via the Beginner Challenge.

Part of the Beginner Challenge, Crustle is only available to claim on day seven. Complete all the tasks required and Crustle is all yours!

Cinderace
Currently one of the most popular Pokemon played in Pokemon Unite, players can unlock Cinderace for free by simply logging into the game.
Cinderace is part of the daily login reward event
Just like Alolan Ninetales, you’ll need to login multiple times to get Cinderace. In this case, log into Pokemon Unite over eight different days to claim Cinderace’s Unite License.
Greninja
That’s right, you can get Greninja as a free Pokemon. Be warned though, you’ll need to be a little patient to unlock this one.

Available as a free Pokemon through the daily login reward system, Greninja fans will need to be patient as he’s only available to claim after 14 days or two weeks of logging in. All we can say is he’s definitely worth the wait.
Just a heads up, it’s not the end of the world if you’ve already purchased one of these free Pokemon from the shop. Getting a duplicate Pokemon from any event will reward you the original cost of that Pokemon in Aeos Coins.
Unfortunately, if you used Aeos Gems to buy these Pokemon, you’ll not receive the Gems back when getting a dupe. You’ll get Aeos Coins just like everyone else.
