OpTic Texas is looking to make some changes heading into the 2024 Call of Duty League season. This information comes from a report by Dexerto, claiming the organization is already in talks with two players to join the roster.

The Call of Duty League Championship recently wrapped up the 2023 season, and now rostermania will be going into full swing. OpTic is looking to make the most of it.

The two players currently in talks with the organization, according to the report, are both currently playing under the Los Angeles Thieves banner. Zack “Drazah” Jordan and Dylan “Envoy” Hannon are in the early stages of a potential move to the green wall.

Neither team made it as deep into this year’s champs event as they’d have liked, and both had some rather tough showings throughout the season. It’s worth pointing out there were also some successes as well, with the Thieves winning the Stage 4 Major, and OpTic ending runner-up in both the second and fourth Majors.

OpTic would finish third in the overall standings for the 2023 CDL season while the LA Thieves would land in fifth.

Currently, it’s expected that the CDL 2022 champions, Drazah and Envoy, would be joining Anthony “shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro and Brandon “Dashy” Otell to form the new OpTic roster.

This would mean OpTic’s gamble on former amateur star Daniel “Ghosty” Rothe would have only lasted one season.

It’s worth mentioning again, this is still very early, and the free agency window doesn’t open until July 3. That means things could certainly change as negotiations continue and decisions are ironed out by general managers and coaches.
