The MW3 Season 1 Reloaded patch notes bring a significant amount of content and changes to the latest game in the franchise. We will go through the new content first.

New Map

The latest update introduces a new map named Rio, replicating a shopping center with both close-quarter and longer-range combat scenarios for a 6v6 multiplayer experience.

New Game Modes

Activision has added new game modes including Team Gunfight, Infected, and Headquarters. Team Gunfight is a 2v2 battle, where players will need to coordinate with their teammates and claim wins on each round with different sets of weapons.

Infected may become an interesting new game mode. A player starts the game infected and spreads the infection to others. The non-infected players have to work together and eliminate the infected ones before it is too late.

Headquarters is not a new concept in Call of Duty. Players capture and hold the Headquarters of enemies. Killing and holding HQs for longer earns them points.

New event

The Boys: Supe Siege is the new event found in the MW3 Season 1 Reloaded patch notes. Players will get temporary power-ups like super strength, laser vision, and teleportation in-game to fight their way and win rewards.

Ranked Play

Although Ranked Play is not coming with the update, Activision will likely introduce it soon. It will be a competitive mode with CDL rules and maps to test your skills against other players to see how high you can rank up.

New weapons

The Season 1 Reloaded patch notes also introduced two new weapons, the HRM-9 SMG and TAQ Evolvere LMG. The latter is a versatile light machine gun, offering multiple fire modes. With the correct loadout, it will be a lethal close-quarter weapon. The HRM-9 is another close-range SMG ideal for players who want to run at the enemy and be on their faces at all times. It boasts high firepower and tight recoil.

Major Weapon changes

The Chimera, FR Avancer, STB-556 (massive range buff), and many more SMGs like the WSP Swarm, Rival-9, Striker 9, Lachmann Shroud, and Fennec 45 got significant buffs. Apart from these weapons, the SVA 545 also got a minor buff to its damage numbers.

While Sidewinder’s recoil was nerfed, popular guns like MCW, DG-56, and Holger 556 got a big hit.

Miscellaneous changes

Some miscellaneous changes include audio clarity, spectating restrictions, strategic killstreaks, fixes to challenges, emblems, and weapon unlock issues, map reworks, and fixes for numerous bugs and glitches.

Season 1 Reloaded meta update

The MW3 Season 1 Reloaded patch notes suggest an attempt to diversify the weapon meta, particularly regarding snipers. The MCW nerfs might open doors for other assault rifles like the SVA 545 or RAM 7 Iron.

The nerfs to Carrack can also push players to use other ARs or sniper rifles like the KATT-AMR. New Ranked Play mode will undoubtedly re-ignite the competitive scene, further shaping the online meta as players try to reach the top ranks.

With various bug fixes and balance adjustments, the overall gameplay is expected to be smoother and more enjoyable. To know more about the update read the full MW3 Season 1 Reloaded patch notes.
