Written by Kaoru Shinozaki, the light novel series debuted on November 24, 2017.
Comic Gardo serialized the manga on July 26, 2019, and as of January 2024, the series has nine tankobon volumes.

In Failure Frame, Touka Mimori and his classmates are summoned to another world by the Goddess Vysis.
Despite being deemed the weakest, Touka possesses an Abnormal State Skill and low-level powers of poison and paralyze.

Vysis, initially appearing benevolent, turns cruel, casting Touka into a deadly labyrinth after rallying his classmates against him.
Using his unique abilities, Touka faces monsters strategically, aiming to seek revenge on the goddess who condemned him to this fate. The story revolves around Touka’s quest for justice and survival in a challenging, otherworldly landscape.
Status of the anime
An anime television series adaptation was announced on January 21, 2024.
The Final Frame anime is produced by Seven Arcs and animated by studio SynergySP.
The anime is directed by Michio Fukuda, with scripts written by Yasuhiro Nakanishi, character designs handled by Kana Hashidate, and music composed by Tatsuhiko Saiki. The series will premiere in 2024.
