If you want to earn free and exclusive in-game items, then you need to get the new VCT Lock In drops.

The first major VCT event of 2023 kicks off next week and Riot Games has revealed its plans to give back to the community by tuning in via exclusive VCT drops.

Fans will be able to earn drops by viewing the official broadcasts which are slotted to be streamed on both Twitch and YouTube.

During the VCT Lock In, fans will be able to earn both the “Locked In” in-game title as well as the VCT Lock In Dad Hat Buddy to attach to the weapon of their choice.

While the event is scheduled to run from February 13th to March 4th, it’s important to note that only the title will be available throughout the entire event, while the VCT Lock In Dad Hat Buddy will only be available to those who tune in for the Grand Final on the last day.

According to the official announcement, all you’ll need to do is watch a live game during the aforementioned timeframes to earn the corresponding drops so long as your account is connected.

In order to make sure you don’t miss out on claiming these exclusive VCT Lock In drops, you’ll want to follow these instructions:

  1. Select which platform you plan to watch the stream on (Twitch or YouTube).
  2. Connect your Valorant account to the selected platform (instructions below)
  3. Tune into the official broadcasts on either Twitch or YouTube.

How to connect your Valorant account

YouTube

  1. Log in at youtube.com.
  2. Click on your profile picture to reveal the drop-down menu, then select Settings.
  3. Select Connected Apps in the sidebar.
  4. Look for Riot Games, then click “Connect.”
  5. A pop-up prompting you to sign in to your Riot Games account will appear. Sign in to your Riot account to complete the process.

Twitch

  1. Log in at twitch.tv.
  2. Click on your profile picture to reveal the drop-down menu, then select Settings.
  3. Click the Connections tab.
  4. Look for Riot Games under Recommended Connections and click “Connect.”
  5. A pop-up prompting you to sign in to your Riot Games account will appear. Sign in to your Riot account to complete the process.

Now you’re all set to tune in and earn the brand new VCT Lock In drops!
