JJ Lin’s esports organization Team SMG (Still Moving Under Gunfire) has unveiled a new roster for Valorant, as it takes its first step into the professional FPS scene.

The all-Singaporean veteran squad were formerly known as GMCC, and had previously competed in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. They finished in top placings at the TheGym MY/SG Final Countdown: Causeway Cup, CSGO2Asia Grassroots Cup and GeForce Cup Pacific Singapore Qualifier.

More recently, the team has been dominating Valorant community tournaments such as the BRSG Valorant Community Series and the Stay Home Challenge Breaker.

“Team SMG has teams in Shanghai, Malaysia and finally, Singapore! This is a milestone in my esports journey, one that is very close to my heart. Like these boys, I started gaming as a past time. But this past time evolved into my passion and global vision in esports, and I strive to nurture home-grown talent in this burgeoning esports scene, ” said JJ Lin.

Team SMG will make their competitive debut in the Rise of Legion: Valorant Southeast Asian tournament happening from 27 to 31 July.
