The Overwatch League announced today that it has partnered with the American insurance company State Farm for its second season.

The announcement was made through the league’s official Twitter account and came out a few hours before Season 2 kicked off at the Blizzard Arena in Los Angeles, California.

State Farm will now become the official North American insurance provider of the Overwatch League. The company will also be joining Coca-Cola, Toyota, T-Mobile, Intel, and HP as the league’s sponsors for its second season.

It is still unclear just what State Farm will bring to the table for the broadcast of the Overwatch League. Both State Farm and Overwatch developer Blizzard Entertainment have yet to release a statement on their new partnership.

This will not be State Farm’s first venture into gaming and esports. Last year, the insurance company became an official sponsor of the NBA 2K League. In January, it also became the official broadcast sponsor of the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS), the North American League of Legends domestic league.

Aside from sponsporing esports leagues, State Farm has also directly sponsored players themselves, starting with Fortnite: Battle Royale streamer Benjamin “DrLupo” Lupo.

Going by its previous sponsorship commitments to the LCS, State Farm may end up providing segments or statistics for the Overwatch League.
