League of Legends champions Fiddlesticks and Volibear will be getting a major update next year.

This was decided through a poll held last May 2019, where Summoners choose between five different champions that would be given a visual and gameplay update.

The global results revealed that Volibear had the highest votes, followed by Fiddlesticks close behind by a few points. As such, With this well-matched outcome, Riot’s lead producer of Champions Ryan “Reav3” Mireles announced that both champions will be getting an update in 2020.

“We’re super excited to start working on Fiddlesticks and Volibear, and we’ll be back later this year with more details on their progress,” said Reav3.

Shyvana, the Half-Dragon, was also considered for an update after showing significant data as “the number one candidate for an update in China”.

A core team consisting of a gameplay designer, a concept artist, and a narrative writer will be working on these changes.
