Gamers, we all know that one of the must-dos when we visit South Korea is hit up a PC bang.

So the next time you’re in Seoul, be sure to check out one of the most unique cafes around — the brand new T1 PC bang.

Officially called “T1 Base Camp”, the global esports organization will open its doors on May 13 at the Hongdae neighborhood in Seoul, an area that’s famous for its youthful vibe and urban subculture full of local shops, clubs, and entertainment outlets.

The T1 PC Bang offers gaming, food, live screenings, merchandise, and more

A short walk from Hongdae station, the T1 PC bang is a large 9,200 square feet (~854 square meters) venue decked in T1’s signature red, white, and black brand colors.

There are also images of its League of Legends pro players and their names put up around the venue. You’ll instantly recognize Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, Choi “Zeus” Woo-je, Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun, Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong, and Ryu “Keria” Min-seok hanging on its walls.

Fielding a League of Legends and Valorant team, their games will be livestreamed on huge LED screens at the T1 PC bang on match days, so be sure to come down to join fellow fans to cheer them on.

While you’re there, why not pick up official T1 merchandise at its store? You’ll also be able to purchase consoles, console games, and other licensed gaming goods (I see you, Unlocked Statues) in the Elite Zone and Premium Zone. There’s also an esports zone that can host event matches, a T1 lounge, and a special photo booth.

The most unique thing about the T1 PC bang is that it could very well open your path to pro. Instructors from T1 Esports Academy (T1A) will visit Base Camp to scout players who show potential. If you manage to stand out, you’ll get a chance to enroll in T1A courses and even try out for their Challengers or Rookies team.

“It’s extremely exciting to expand T1’s brand as we venture into the PC cafe business. Visitors will be able to not only play various games but purchase T1 goods as well as experience various events put together by T1,” said T1’s COO Josh Ahn.

T1 partnered with SuperPlay, a local South Korean gaming lifestyle brand to create this entire PC cafe experience.

A week-long soft launch will begin on May 5, 2023.
