NCSoft and Amazon’s MMORPG title is getting closer with the Throne and Liberty closed beta test stage coming soon, which will allow eager players to jump into Solisium ahead of the global launch.

Throne and Liberty is a free-to-play, multi-platform MMORPG that made waves for its incredible combat, interactive environment, and ability to shape-shift. After enjoying a big launch in Korea in December 2023, the game struggled to maintain a consistent player count.

In a February investor call, NCSoft conceded that the game had underperformed in Korea, but the team is confident that it will experience a resurgence with the upcoming global launch.

Instead of a direct release, the developer has opted to take in feedback from its Western audience by announcing a closed beta.

Signing up doesn’t warrant entry into the closed beta, especially since it’s a highly exclusive test phase under an NDA. All players participating in the Throne and Liberty closed beta are barred from sharing information about the game, its features, announcement date, and live release plan in any way.

The players who have been shortlisted will receive an email notification on April 2 to inform them about the selection.

The closed beta will run from April 10 at 1 PM PT to April 17. To be considered for a slot, players must sign up before April 2.

While it’s dubbed “global beta,” Throne and Liberty’s closed test will only be available for players in Europe, North America, South America, and Asia Pacific. These players can test the game on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox with crossplay enabled. However, all progress will be lost once the closed beta ends.

Shortlisted players will be informed via a welcome email. The confirmation email will include the game code and instructions on how to participate in the test.
