Demon Slayer Tanjiro’s voice actor embarks on new quest as Metahpor ReFantazio’s protagonist

The Metaphor ReFantazio cast of Atlus’ new major title boasts a familiar voice that Demon Slayer fanatics will instantly recognize.

Leading the charge in this fantastical adventure is none other than Natsuki Hanae, the talented seiyuu who voices Tanjiro Kamado, the main protagonist in Koyoharu Gotouge’s hit manga and anime series.

Metaphor ReFantazio throws players headfirst into a vibrant adventure. Studio Zero, the development team behind the project, promises a unique blend of turn-based strategy and action-packed combat, ensuring there’s something for every die-hard JRPG fan.

For Kimetsu no Yaiba fans, the biggest draw might be the familiar voice guiding them on their quest.

What is Metaphor ReFantazio about?

Set in a world plunged into turmoil following the assassination of the king, the game offers players the chance to ascend to the throne with sufficient backing.

Players assume the role of the protagonist, who must journey across the realm to garner support for their cause. Metaphor ReFantazio combines real-time combat with turn-based battles, a familiar formula for Persona fans. 

Although not entirely open-world, the game allows players to explore diverse zones teeming with creatures to engage in combat.

While the entire Metaphor ReFantazio cast has yet to be revealed, Atlus has unveiled a handful of talented Japanese voice actors who will bring this fantastical world to life. 

The confirmed Japanese cast already boasts some incredible talents.

Natsuki Hanae — The Protagonist

In Metaphor ReFantazio, Hanae plays the unnamed protagonist, a young man ostracized for belonging to the “tainted” Elda tribe.

He embarks on a perilous journey with his loyal fairy companion, Gallica, to save his childhood friend, the prince, from a deadly curse.

Fans of heart-stopping demon-slaying action will instantly recognize Hanae as the voice of Tanjiro Kamado from Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba.

He’s also brought to life iconic characters like the tortured protagonist Ken Kaneki in Tokyo Ghoul and the emotional piano prodigy Kousei Arima in Your Lie in April.

Sumire Morohoshi — Gallica

Accompanying the protagonist on his quest is the sassy yet invaluable Gallica, voiced by the talented Morohoshi.

While Gallica’s small stature may prevent her from direct combat, her knowledge of magic and ability to sense the magical energy known as “magla” makes her an indispensable guide.

Morohoshi is no stranger to strong female characters, having voiced the spirited student council president Misaki Ayuzawa in Kaichou wa Maid-sama! and the skilled strategist Leila Malcal in Code Geass Akito the Exiled. 

The Japanese seiyuu’s supporting roles include the ever-supportive Hitoka Yachi from Haikyuu!! And the tragic Hinami Fueguchi from Tokyo Ghoul.

Kensho Ono — Strohl

Rounding out the trio of revealed cast members is Kensho Ono, who lends his voice to Strohl, a young man from the noble Clemar tribe. 

Despite his noble lineage, Strohl chooses to enlist in the State Army alongside commoners, hinting at a complex backstory.

Ono is a master of portraying a wide range of personalities. He has voiced the determined protagonist Shinya Kiritani in New Gate and the stoic powerhouse Giorno Giovanna in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

He’s also well-known for his roles as the basketball prodigy Kuroko Tetsuya in Kuroko no Basuke, the obsessive but loyal Yuri Briar in Spy x Family, and Diluc in Genshin Impact.
