Shadow of the Erdtree, the first and only major expansion of Elden Ring, is right around the corner.
The highly anticipated expansion pack is set to incorporate a brand new map, a range of new elements, and, most importantly, a new villain called Mesmer.

When is the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree release date
The Elden Ring DLC is releasing on June 21, 2024, which means we are approximately 45 days away from the release at the time of writing this article.
As announced in the trailer, the expansion pack will be available for multiple platforms, including Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC.
How to pre-order Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC — Elden Ring DLC cost
Elden Ring fans will be glad to know that the pre-orders for upcoming expansion went live the day it was revealed. There are a total of four different editions up for grabs and here’s a quick rundown of them:
- Standard: This edition includes only the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, which you can purchase for $39.99.
- Premium: The Erdtree Premium Bundle is priced at $49.99 and includes the Shadow of The Erdtree expansion, the expansion’s art book and the soundtrack.
- Deluxe: It can purchased for $99.99 and comes with all of the aforementioned benefits, followed by an art book and soundtrack app for both the Elden Ring base game and Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
- Collector’s: It costs a whopping $249.99 and grants you benefits like the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree expansion code, a 46cm statue of “Messmer the Impaler,” one of the key boss characters in Shadow of the Erdtree, an art book, and a download voucher for the original soundtrack.
It’s worth noting that none of the aforementioned editions includes the Elden Ring base game.
