Forbearance is currently one of the best wave-frame grenade launchers in Destiny 2.

As such, in this guide, we explain our pick for the Destiny 2 Forbearance god roll.

Complete Destiny 2 Midnight Coup god roll guide

While originally part of the loot pool of the Vow of Disciple raid, a revamped version of Forbearance is now available as part of the Brave arsenal weapons in Destiny 2 Into the Light

The new Destiny 2 Forbearance has a refresh perk pool, with some godly combinations that make this quite efficient at clearing ads.

Since wave-frame GLs excel mostly in clearing ads and are not DPS king, we focus our Forbearance god roll on PvE.

PERK TYPE PERK DESCRIPTION
Barrel Quick Launch: This weapon’s barrel provides faster projectiles and much faster aiming. Greatly increases handling speed.
Increases projectile speed.
(Handling +15, Velocity +10)
MagazineHigh-Velocity Rounds: This weapon’s projectiles are particularly light and quick.
Increases projectile speed.
Increases reload speed.
(Reload Speed +10, Velocity +10)
Trait 1Ambitious Assassin: Overflows the magazine based on the number of rapid kills before reloading.
Trait 2Chain Reaction: Each final blow with this weapon creates an elemental damage explosion.
Or, One For All: Hitting three separate targets increases damage for a moderate duration.
MasterworkReload Speed
Origin TraitIndomitability: Final blows grant grenade energy when playing a Light subclass or melee energy when playing a Darkness subclass

For wave-frame GLs, it’s best to focus on Velocity and Reload Speed, and you can get a boost to those with Quick Launch and High-Velocity Rounds for Barrel and Magazine, respectively.

As for the perk combinations, Ambitious Assassin and Chain Reaction are a match made in heaven. You can cause an elemental explosion with Chain Reaction, taking down groups of red-bar enemies, and Ambitious Assassin can get you extra rounds, depending on the number of rapid kills you did.

If timed correctly, you can get up to 3 rounds before getting to reload Forbearance, which can be incredibly useful in most high-octane PvE activities.

One For All is also a great choice if you can’t get Chain Reaction as it gets you a damage boost for hitting three different targets. However, it won’t synergize effectively with Ambitious Assassin, so it’s best to go with Chain Reaction if possible.

Lastly, for the Masterwork, Reload Speed is an easy pick, since GLs tend to have high reload time.

And that concludes our Forbearance god roll in Destiny 2.
