Talon Esports and its current roster are parting ways following The International 2023 — though the players and the org are likely remaining in competitive Dota 2 in some capacity.

Talon confirmed that its player roster and the org “mutually parted ways to allow other opportunities to be explored,” according to its announcement post last night.

“Please continue supporting Talon Dota as we look forward to a new era, and stay tuned for updates,” Talon wrote in its post.

The Hong Kong esports organization has become a remarkably consistent force in Southeast Asian Dota since coming onto the scene in 2021.

With its current roster, Talon established itself as the best team in SEA this season, with top-three finishes in international competitions like Riyadh Masters 2023 and the Lima Major.

Talon started TI12 with high hopes, including a key victory against eventual finalists Gaimin Gladiators that saw them seeded in the upper bracket. But consecutive losses to Team Liquid and BetBoom Team meant they ended the tournament in joint-ninth.
