Week 2, Day 2 of the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League saw BOOM Esports finishing with a 1-1 draw against Neon Esports and Fnatic remain undefeated as they outplayed T1 2-0 in the day’s marquee matchup.

BOOM Esports 1 – 1 Neon Esports

In the first game, both teams traded evenly as the match progressed. But once Randy “Dreamocel” Sapoetra’s Anti-Mage had finished farming, Neon Esports would go on to lose all of the remaining team fights in the game. Dreamocel’s Anti-Mage finished the game with an 8/0/6 KDA record, along with a substantial 852/917 gold-per-minute/experience-per-minute performance.

Neon Esports responded in game two with an impressive Nature’s Prophet performance from Andrei “skem” Ong, who took control of the game by making plays all over the map.

Skem continued to dominate the game as his Nature’s Prophet reached critical mass. He was completely six-slotted with a Heaven’s Halberd, Mjollnir, Black King Bar, Assault Cuirass, Eye of Skadi, and Skull Basher. He finished Game 2 with a 17/1/18 KDA and helped Neon Esports even the series 1-1.

Fnatic 2 – 0 T1

In the final series of the day, Fnatic proved yet again why they’re the favorites of the tournament. After falling behind to T1 at the start of Game 1, Fnatic quickly turned things around by outperforming their opponents in the latter part of the game and displaying their superior team fight coordination.

Djardel “DJ” Mampusti and Kam “Moon” Boon Seng both played pivotal roles in Fnatic’s Game 1 victory. DJ’s Nyx Assassin made clutch support plays by catching and controlling T1’s heroes with Blink Dagger and Eul’s Scepter. Meanwhile, Moon provided Fnatic the damage they needed to win key team fights, and helped Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon’s Nature’s Prophet catch up in terms of net worth.

The final game of the day was a complete stomp by Fnatic, who took the early lead after winning the laning stage and never looked back. T1 attempted to go for an unusual Lone Druid hard carry and a roaming support Nature’s Prophet, which were heavily punished by Fnatic.

After securing a sizable gold and experience lead, Moon decided to go for an early Bloodstone on his Storm Spirit, which helped Fnatic extend their lead even more. With DJ’s Phoenix and Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong’s Winter Wyvern healing from the backline, and Daryl Koh “iceiceice”Pei Xiang’s Pangolier controlling T1’s heroes, Moon was able to pick off key targets to make sure Fnatic won most of the team fights.

Moon finished the game with an 11/1/8 KDA record as Fnatic took down T1 2-0 in the final match of the day.

With their second series win of the tournament, Fnatic jumps to third place with a total of 6 points. Meanwhile, with BOOM Esports and Neon Esports ending their series in a draw, both teams are tied together with Reality Rift in sixth place with 2 points each.
