As the last Dota Pro Circuit event for the 2018-2019 season, the Epicenter Major featured the best Dota 2 teams in the world doing everything they could to earn those crucial DPC points. And this led to some amazing Dota 2 plays that had fans at the edge of their seats.

Here are all the top plays from the tournament you may have missed.

Virtus Pro’s 9pasha and his Aghanim’s Scepter-equipped Pangolier

Pangolier isn’t a hero known for dishing out insane amounts of damage. But with an Aghanim’s Scepter on Pavel “9pasha” Khvastunov’s Pango, which causes his Shield Crash skill to also cast Swashbuckle, he was able to dish out enough damage to earn a triple kill because of all the Swashbuckle casts he landed on the enemy Radiant heroes.

Ninjas in Pyjamas take down the Dire Throne

NiP’s third game against PSG.LGD during the opening matches of the group stages ended with an intense Dire Throne siege. With NiP facing mega creeps, they decided to dive in PSG.LGD’s base. Thanks to Marcus “Ace” Christensen’s Faceless Void doing some nifty evasive maneuvers, the Dire Throne was taken down before PSG.LGD could wipe them.

OG’s great escape

OG found themselves on the losing end of a team fight, 15-minutes into game one. But Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen was able to run just far enough to where TNC had no detection. Meanwhile, Jesse “Jerax” Vainikka did what any Spirit Breaker would do, just Charge of Darkness away just before TNC could kill him.

NiP’s Fata wins a 1v1 duel against PSG.LGD’s Ame

We rarely get to see one on one duels during the late game stages, but when Wang “Ame” Chunyu decided to cut the creep wave to give his team a fighting chance and defend their base, Adrian “Fata” Trinks was able to hunt him down and take him out.

PSG.LGD’s Fy with the game breaking Snowball save

PSG.LGD’s team was caught out while running away on the low ground near the Rosh Pit. Instead of leaving his team behind, Xu “fy” Linsen was able to cast Snowball at the very edge of the high ground to save Yang “Chalice” Shenyi’s Axe.

RNG’s incredible two hero defense

After taking down three RNG heroes, Team Secret decided to dive into the Radiant base to end the game. But they did not expect the amount of damage Du “Monet” Peng could do on his Lifestealer.

This miscalculation by Secret earned Monet a Rampage. Eventually, Monet was taken down but he immediately bought back. Secret then wisely decided to back off instead.

Alliance destroys VP with a jaw dropping wombo-combo

Virtus Pro was able to take out Alliance’s Troll Warlord carry, which prompted them to go for more, but they didn’t see Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi’s Crystal Maiden and Tommy “Taiga” Le Sand King ready with their ultimates. With both an Epicenter, and a Freezing Field wombo-combo, VP’s heroes melted quick.

VP’s RodjER baits Team Secret

Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosyan presented his hero as an easy target for Team Secret at the middle lane, and Secret, on Dire, took the bait. With RodjER’s entire team lying in wait, they jumped on Secret who lost four heroes in the process.

VP’s RodjER lands a 3-man Black Hole

With all their best spells expended, Alliance decided to retreat, but RodjER was waiting for them at the exit. He caught three Alliance heroes with a beautiful Black Hole which helped VP win the game.

Team Liquid gets the double Fatal Bonds on VG

Team Liquid manage to land the most devastating combo in Dota 2. The Soul Bind into Fatal Bonds combo causes all enemies linked together to take a crazy amount of damage. VG immediately melted like Swiss Cheese as a result.
