Thailand is set to play host to “The First Dota 2 Clash in Southeast Asia” as ESL brings its Clash of Nations tournament series to a close.

ESL Clash of Nations Bangkok will be staged at the Royal Paragon Hall on October 25-27. The tournament will showcase six teams from nine Asia-Pacific countries vying for the biggest share from the US$50,000 purse.

Four of the six competing teams will hail from national ESL Championship Season 2 tournaments in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia/Singapore (currently ongoing).

The remaining two slots will be filled by the winners of the Play-ins Phase, which will feature teams from India, the Philippines, and Australia/New Zealand. The Play-ins are scheduled one day ahead of the main tournament.

ESL Clash of Nations Bangkok will be part of the Thailand Game Show, one of the biggest gaming conventions in the region.

ESL is aiming to grow top-level esports competition in Southeast Asia with its Clash of Nations series. In March, the global gaming company staged a regional Arena of Valor tournament in Jakarta, Indonesia.
