Blacklist International is bringing in two backroom staff in a bid to improve the organization’s bid at their first-ever The International.

Adam “343” Erwann Shah and Kenny “Xepher” Deo are taking on coaching duties for the Southeast Asian organization, Blacklist announced last night. 343 has been the coach for teams like compLexity Gaming and Fnatic, while this will be Xepher’s first coaching role.

Xepher is reuniting with two of his former teammates, Karl Matthew “Karl” Baldovino and Carlo “Kuku” Palad. The three played under T1 for nearly two years.

Without any roster changes from their Bali Major roster, Blacklist will be hoping two coaches are enough to propel that organization to its first TI.

Blacklist’s Dota 2 roster, formed this year, has seen mixed success. While the team, has gradually improved on their standings within the SEA region, their first international showing at the Bali Major ended in disappointment — a group stage exit that saw them finish tied-13th.

Blacklist International are one of the 12 hopefuls contesting the TI12 SEA qualifiers. Only one team from the region has secured an invite to Dota’s premier event — Talon Esports — while other heavyweights like Execration, Bleed Esports, and Team SMG are battling for the coveted spot.
