G2’s star player Nikola “NiKo” Kovač is moving to Saudi-backed esports organization Falcons according to a report by 1pv.fr.

According to the report, the 26-year-old isn’t the only one potentially on his way out of the Berlin based organization.

The rumor mill has been running for awhile now that Bosnian player was in talks with Falcons CS2, but now it seems the deal is all but set in stone.

The move is being made due to G2 not being willing to re-sign him to the same salary according to a claim by Sebastien “KRL” Perez during an HLTV Confirmed episode. The transfer would result in the end of NiKo’s three-year stint with the organization.

During that time he helped the team achieve plenty of success including wins at IEM Katowice and IEM Cologne in 2023 while also managing to finish runner-up at the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 event.

It was also reported that Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov is also fielding offers as G2 looks to potentially offload both players for the right deal.

It’s expected that both players deals would be worth millions.

Falcons have already secured the services of Danny “zonic” Sørensen and Emil “Magisk” Reif, both formerly of Vitality and Astralis.
