Ninjas in Pyjamas has decided to make some changes in its Counter-Strike 2 team as its transitions into the new era.

Patrick “es3tag” Hansen has been brought back to NIP after departing the organization back in 2022.

This decision came following Björn “THREAT” Pers’ assessment during an in-house interview that the team had a leadership issue after he stepped in as the team’s new General Manager.

“There’s been a very clear role clash within the team,” he said. “Everyone on the team needs to be comfortable. It’s not about everyone having to have the perfect role. That sometimes can be an excuse from some players, not having perfect positions on every map, but it needs to be better.”

This has resulted in Hampus “hampus” Poser, the team’s now former in-game leader, being benched to make room for the return of the 27-year-old. He’d taken over the role after Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen took up the mantle heading into early 2023.

Unfortunately for fans of the organization, the team hasn’t had much success despite their many changes. THREAT’s plan is to fix that with this change, and we’ll just have to wait and see how it plays out.

Ninjas in Pyjamas roster:

  • Daniil “headtr1ck” Valitov
  • Patrick “es3tag” Hansen
  • Hampus “hampus” Poser (benched)
  • Daniel “djL” Narancic (coach)
