The nuke is the stuff of Call of Duty legend. It is a pinnacle achievement that only the very best players manage to achieve — whether in battle royale or multiplayer, the nuclear bomb will win the game instantly for your team.

The nuke in Warzone 2.0 is similar to Modern Warfare 2’s Tactical Nuke killstreak. However, instead of getting 30 kills in a row, you need to hunt for ingredients to make and arm the bomb.

This means you could potentially come from behind to win the entire match, regardless of the equipment you currently have. Here’s how to set off the nuke in Al Mazrah.

Let’s just preface this by saying that Warzone 2.0’s nuclear bomb is incredibly hard to pull off. Infinity Ward didn’t even confirm that it was in the game, until Twitch streamer Nick “wagnificent” Wagner set one off three days after launch.

There are several hoops you have to jump through, spanning multiple games.

  1. Win five consecutive Warzone 2.0 matches.
  2. Start the Champion’s Quest contract.
  3. Find the three elements that make up the nuke.
  4. Wait for the bomb site to appear on the map.
  5. Arm the bomb with the three elements you collected.
  6. Defend the bomb against other players for two minutes.

It goes without saying that the first step is the biggest hurdle. To put things in perspective, you have to come out on top of a 150-player lobby five times in a row — a feat even the best players will likely struggle with.

When you have won five games in a row, a gold crown will appear on the Tac-Map to allow you to activate the Champion’s Quest contract.

The next step is to collect three elements — Beryllium, Plutonium, and Tritium. Each element comes with its own penalty when picked up. Beryllium has a tracking device that puts a gold crown on your head so all other players know where you are, Plutonium emits a deadly radiation, while Tritium scrambles your radar and mini map.

The bomb site is marked by a yellow radiation hazard symbol. Each element has to be deposited individually, then the bomb must be armed manually.

A two-minute timer will start, and you will have to defend the bomb until it goes off.
