Now that the dust from the online qualifiers has settled, CDL 2023 Major I is finally headed to LAN at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, North Carolina from December 15 to 18.

The first LAN of the season will pit all 12 CDL franchised teams against four qualified Challengers teams, and all teams will have an opportunity to earn CDL points that go toward Championship qualification.

What is CDL 2023 Major I?

CDL 2023 Major I is the first of five majors in the 2023 season. Featuring a prize pool of US$500,000 and a total of 16 teams, it is the first time fans will get to see whether the offseason roster shuffle paid off for several teams.

Teams will compete for CDL points, which will determine their standings and whether or not they qualify for the playoffs at the end of the season.

CDL 2023 Major I format

The 12 CDL teams and four Challenger teams will be sorted into four GSL groups of four teams each. Teams will play each other in a best-of-five series, and the top two teams in each group will qualify for the bracket stage.

The eight teams that make it out of their group will be placed in a double elimination bracket. Matches will still be played in best-of-five series, except for the grand final, which will be a best-of-seven.

Where to watch CDL 2023 Major I



Major I will be available to watch on the official Call of Duty Twitch channel and website. With four streams running at the same time, fans will be able to watch via the Twitch Command Center to access the Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta streams.

Fans can also set different layouts to view multiple streams in whatever way they like.
