What is Dandadan?
Dandadan is a manga series by Yukinobu Tatsu. Yukinobu previously served as an assistant to renowned mangaka Tatsuki Fujimoto on “Fire Punch” and “Chainsaw Man.”
By November 2023, Dandadan had amassed over 3.2 million copies in circulation and had been viewed over 360 million times on the Shonen Jump+ platform.
Such immense popularity led to the manga being adapted into an anime series in 2024.
What is the main plot of Dandadan anime?
The plot of Dandadan revolves around two high school students Momo Ayase, who believes in ghosts but not aliens, and Ken Takakura, or “Okarun,” who believes in aliens but not ghosts.
To settle their differing beliefs, they go on a wager: Momo explores locations linked to aliens, while Okarun investigates sites associated with ghosts.
Their separate journeys lead them to unexpected discoveries, revealing the existence of both aliens and ghosts, and challenging their preconceived notions in an amusing twist of fate.
Dandadan anime release date
The Dandadan anime release date is confirmed for October 2024, as shown in the anime’s promotion video. This places the anime within the Fall 2024 season, spanning from October to December.
Its producer, Mainichi Broadcasting System (MBS), has not disclosed the exact Dandadan anime release date yet.
