Ranma 1/2 series history
Ranma 1/2 debuted in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine on August 19, 1987. The manga ran for nearly a decade, concluding on March 6, 1996, with 407 chapters.
The first anime adaptation was produced by Studio Deen and aired from 1989 to 1992.
Now, a new adaptation by MAPPA is set to bring the series back to life.
Ranma 1/2 2024 story
Ranma Saotome is a martial arts student cursed to transform into a girl when doused with cold water. This unique predicament forms the comedic backbone of the series.
