What’s the mechanics behind the Solo Leveling Arise pity system for characters in the regular and time-limited hero draws? ONE Esports dives into the nitty-gritty to answer this question.

Solo Leveling Arise is an action role-playing game developed by Netmarble, where players step into the shoes of Sung Jinwoo and other hunters as they battle creatures that have invaded the world.

Playable hunters in the game possess individual strengths and weaknesses, with the strongest being SSR hunters. However, unlocking these hunters is difficult; they are only obtainable through the game’s banner system.

While some players can unlock characters by spending money, others choose to grind tickets in the game and rely on the pity system.

This ONE Esports guide discusses the Solo Leveling Arise pity system, helping you plan ahead for your next SSR hunter.

Pity is the mechanism in a gacha game that increases the chances of players obtaining weapons or hunters after a certain number of attempts or rolls.

This type of pity system is popular in HoYoverse games such as Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail.

In Solo Leveling Arise, this system is called Draw Support. Initially, there is only a 1.2% chance of drawing an SSR hunter.

However, from the 64th draw onward, the chances of getting an SSR hunter or weapon increases by 5.8% each time.

But there’s a catch. While the chances of getting an SSR increase, there is only a 50% chance you’ll get the time-limited banner or other SSR hunters on the list.

If you get an SSR hunter on the Draw Support, but not the time-limited hunter on the banner, you are automatically guaranteed a rate up SSR hunter the next time you pull.
