Riot Games is gearing up for a regional takeover of SEA with the Valorant Pacific Open, the first Valorant Ignition series to be held in Southeast Asia.

The tournament will start in early July and will host teams from Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Winners from each qualifier will move on to the Valorant Pacific Open Finals in August where ten teams will battle it out for the US$20,000 prize pool.

The Pacific Open qualifiers will begin on July 3, with the preliminary stages open to the public.

Riot has also announced the one-off SEA Invitational tournament, which will feature six teams of content creators and gaming personalities from Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.

In the star-studded showcase, teams will fight for a total prize pool of US$10,000, various prizes from official sponsors, and regional bragging rights.

On top of that, Riot Games Southeast Asia will be donating US$10,000 to GlobalGiving’s Coronavirus Relief Fund to help projects fighting against the pandemic’s spread. The Valorant SEA Invitational will take place on July 11, at 1:30 p.m. (GMT+8).
