Just when you thought the roster of fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate couldn’t get any bigger, it does. Or at least, it’s about to.

Nintendo is inviting fans of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to tune in on YouTube or Twitch on January 16, 10 p.m. GMT+8, for a special announcement from game director Masahiro Sakurai.

In what’s expected to be a half-hour livestream, the beloved game director is set to reveal the latest DLC hero for the record-setting fighting game.

The mysterious new character will be the sixth addition to Ultimate since January 2019.

Already introduced to the game were the Piranha Plant from the Mario Bros. games, Joker from Persona 5, Hero from Dragon Quest 11, Banjo and Kazooie from N64 title Banjo-Kazooie, and Terry Bogard from the Fatal Fury fighting game franchise.

Until the livestream kicks off, fans are left to speculate as to who the newest fighter will be.

Guesses (and wishful thinking) have ranged from intriguing prospects like Dante from Devil May Cry, to oddball bets like Waluigi.

It’s all up in the air until Sakurai makes the big reveal, although fans of Dragon Ball’s Goku and Marvel Comics’ Iron Man might want to keep their expectations considerably low.

Excited for the announcement? No need to look anywhere else. You can watch it right here:
