The Overwatch League has announced that they have cancelled all games scheduled to be held in South Korea, including the March Homestand of the Seoul Dynasty, as the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak continues to worsen in the country.

South Korea was originally set to host OWL matches for Weeks 5, 6, and 7 on March 7-8, March 14-15, and March 21-22, with the Seoul Dynasty March Homestand planned to be held during Week 5 of league competition.

While there has been no word from the OWL regarding the status of the make-up matches that were recently announced to be held in South Korea due to the earlier cancellation of all league matches in China, those are also expected to be cancelled.

While the coronavirus outbreak has already reached the United States, the OWL has also not announced any changes to the homestand schedules in Washington on Week 5, Florida on Week 6, and Atlanta on Week 7 in light of the cancelled matches in China and South Korea.

The coronavirus outbreak continues to affect large swathes of China and its surrounding countries, with over 77,000 cases out of the over 79,000 global total having occurred in the country.

The outbreak has recently made its way to South Korea, with over 300 cases being confirmed thus far, as reported by CNN.
