When the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020 in the Philippines, all Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) games were held online to avoid the spread of the virus.

That was the norm for almost four seasons. Fortunately, offline tournament have finally returned, as MPL PH Season 9 will now be held offline starting tomorrow, March 4.

In a Manila Bulletin report, Moonton announced that it has received the green light from the country’s Games and Amusement Board to start the league’s offline matches in its third week.

Strict safety and health protocols will be implemented. Only players, casters, and production staff will be allowed to enter the venue, and there will be no live audience for this week up until further notice.

Moonton recently tested a similar setup last season during the grand final between Blacklist International and ONIC PH. Although both teams were in the same venue, they did not play in the stage, and instead competed in separate rooms.
