In the opening match of the LCS Summer Playoffs between Counter Logic Gaming (CLG) and OpTic Gaming (OPT) both teams showed off exceptional plays, but it was CLG that ended up winning the best-of-five series.

In a crucial game three, CLG pulled off a huge five-man invade on the bottom side enemy jungle.

OPT Noh “Arrow” Dong-hyeon’s Xayah was the unfortunate victim caught in their path, and was instantly deleted.

CLG Trevor “Stixxay” Hayes’ Caitlyn engaged used a painful normal attack that took a big chunk out of Arrow’s HP. CLG Kim “Ruin” Hyeong-min’s Poppy then used Heroic Charge to pin Xayah to the wall, stunning him. Then CLG Raymond “Wiggily” Griffin’s Sylas finished off Arrow with a Chain Lash.

CLG went on to win the game, completing the clean 3-0 sweep of the series to advance to the semifinals where they will face Cloud9.
