Though the 2020 LCS Spring Split took a slight detour with its transition into a remote online format, North America’s finest teams still gave League fans some incredible plays throughout the season.

Check out these incredible highlight plays that perfectly summarize the North American powerhouse that is the LCS:

5. Ssumday wins the game with an audacious quadra-kill

100 Thieves’ jungle Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho knows how to end a game in style. With Aatrox and his deadly Darkin Blade, Ssumday transformed into a champion-slaying demon that slashed his way through four members of Team Liquid.

With all TL members still deep in their death timers, Ssumday and 100 Thieves sieged the base for a well-deserved win in the third week of the Spring Split.

4. Jiizuke flexes his godlike aim in a 2v4 against Dignitas

If you allow Daniele “Jiizuke” Di Mauro to unleash his legendary Ryze, he’s bound to annihilate his opponents with a barrage of blue orbs.

Despite facing a 2v4 situation, the Evil Geniuses sharpshooter attacked Dignitas from a distance, taking out Johnson “Johnsun” Nguyen and Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black. Dignitas followed up with a stunning retaliation on Jiizuke, but Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam’s defensive devour on his teammate saved the clash effort, ending the fight with a Jiizuke triple-kill and an ace.

3. Zven and Nisqy wombo-combo Dignitas into oblivion

The boys in blue never shy away from achieving amazing plays, even when there’s a literal wall in their path.

In this top-tier highlight, Yasin “Nisqy” Dincer flashed through Henrik “Froggen” Hansen’s ice wall and instantly executed Petrifying gaze, catching three of the retreating Dignitas members. With all three members stunned, Sven “Zven” Svenningsen completed the wombo-combo with a Bullet Time ult, claiming a double-kill on Dignitas.

2. Cloud9 catches 100 Thieves in an incredible wombo-combo

One thing that makes Cloud9 a standout team in the 2020 LCS is the team’s consistency. Even with their playoff berth secured, Cloud9 was still handing out wombo-combos in Week 8.

In this highlight, Robert “Blaber” Huang perfectly executed a three-man knock-up with his explosive casket, prompting Nisqy to initiate Last Breath on his airborne opponents. With 100 Thieves now at half-life, the rest of C9 came in to deal the final blows, coming out of the fight with a well-deserved ace.

1. Bjergsen scores a pentakill on 100 Thieves (with a little help from Dardoch)

Although Team SoloMid had a few slip-ups this season, Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg helped cap off the Spring Split with an incredible play in Week 9.

As 100 Thieves tried to take Baron, Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett was able to trap four of the retreating members in a Cataclysm. With the manmade arena up, Bjergsen and army of sand soldiers went to town on 100 Thieves, earning himself a pentakill.
