League of Legends newest champion, Sett is now available with the release of patch 10.1.

Sett is an underworld crime boss, and is a buffed-out melee juggernaut with a skillset built around brawling.

Passive – Pit Grit

Sett’s basic attacks alternate between a Left Punch and a Right Punch, always opening with a Left Punch. Attack speed increases the speed of both punches.

  • Left Punches deal normal damage.
  • Right Punches come out faster and deal bonus physical damage.

Heart of the Half-Beast: Sett gains additional health regeneration for each 5% missing health.

Sett has an interesting combo mechanic for his basic attacks. He always starts with a Left Punch that deals normal damage. If he attacks again within two seconds, he will unleash a Right Punch which hits much faster and deals 15% bonus physical damage.

Q – Knuckle Down

Active: Sett itches for a fight, gaining 30% movement speed for 1.5 seconds while moving towards enemy champions.

Sett’s next two basic attacks deal bonus physical damage, plus a percentage of the target’s maximum health.

Sett’s Q works as a gap closer. It also buffs his next two basic punches, making it a useful skill even if you’re already in melee range.

W – Haymaker

Passive: Sett stores 100% of damage taken as Grit, up to a cap of [+50% of Sett’s max]Grit decays quickly 4 seconds after the damage was taken.

Active: Sett winds up a giant punch in a direction, expending all Grit to deal as true damage to all enemies in the center line. Enemies not in the center line take physical damage instead.

Sett also gains a rapidly decaying shield equal to Grit expended for 2 seconds.

Sett’s Haymaker lets you store up damage taken and unleash it in a devastating cone-shaped punch that deals true damage to enemies in the center and physical damage to enemies on the side.

Haymaker also provides Sett with a shield that scales with how much Grit he uses.

If his Grit goes over 90%, Sett turns super Saiyan, transforming into a golden fighter. In this mode, his Haymaker turns into a flying predator that’s ready to devour its enemies.

E – Facebreaker

Active: Sett smashes enemies on either side of him into each other, dealing physical damage and slowing them by 50% for 0.5 seconds. If Sett grabbed at least one enemy on each side, all enemies are stunned for 1 second.

Sett’s Facebreaker is a useful CC tool and AoE stun but is only really effective against multiple enemies.

However, the move also works against minions and monsters, allowing Sett to have a solid jungle presence.

R – Showstopper

Active: Sett grabs an enemy champion, carries them forward, then slams them into the ground. All enemies near the impact take physical damage, plus a percentage of the grabbed enemy’s bonus health and are slowed by 99% for 1.5 seconds. Enemies take less damage the further they are from where Sett lands.

Sett’s Ultimate is a god-like AoE bodyslam. The damage of the move scales with the grabbed enemy’s health, making high HP tanks like Cho’Gath juicy targets for Sett.

Overall, Sett looks like an incredibly dangerous foe if he can get close to you, but with only Knuckle Down as a gap closer, he can be kited quite easily.
