Match of the Week: Cloud9 vs Team SoloMid

Although TSM is considered one of the better teams in the LCS this season, Cloud9 still dominated this game. Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen and his team focused on catching TSM with a flank or double-team all game long.

In this clip, TSM has just secured the Rift Herald and pushed their luck by attacking Cloud9’s overextending support, Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme. Initially outnumbered, Cloud9 retreated into their jungle for a bit coverage.

With Zven laying down the arrows on TSM, Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer waited for the right opportunity to jump over the Jungle wall and confirm the kill on Vincent “Biofrost” Wang. Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett attempted to take out Zven, but Vulcan did a stunning Devour to save his ADC.

With Nisqy taking Dardoch out after the failed attack, Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg had no way out with Eric “Licorice” Ritchie teleporting at the closest jungle exit. Cloud9 then proceded to take down the TSM mid-laner in a hopeless 1v5 beatdown.

Player of the Week: Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun

FlyQuest’s superstar support, IgNar, showed off his impressive Yuumi skills in his team’s match against TSM. Ignar dished out some amazing heals to keep his team’s pressure on their opponents.

Even with TSM’s re-engage, IgNar pulled off a two-man root with Final Chapter, securing a kill on Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg.

By the end of the game, IgNar had an incredible 1/1/18 KDA.

After a month of LCS, Cloud9 still leads the league with an 8-0 standing while FlyQuest and Immortals are tied in second place.

TSM, Dignitas, and Golden Guardians share fourth place with an even 4-4 standing.
