FlyQuest unveiled its newest initiative for the 2021 LCS Summer season, SunnyQuest. This will be the organization’s fourth Go Green initiative, following up on its Spring efforts of BeeQuest.

“Climate change is a real and dangerous threat, not only to us but to all life on the planet,” said FlyQuest CEO Tricia Sugita. “With SunnyQuest, we wanted to bring the climate change conversation to the forefront of the esports ecosystem.”

How SunnyQuest will work in competitive pro play

FlyQuest will be integrating its environmental efforts into its own League of Legends competitions.

Throughout the summer season, FLY’s LCS and Academy teams will be making contributions to the American Solar Energy Society (ASES), an organization that focuses on accelerating the shift to renewable energy to decrease carbon emissions in the United States.

FlyQuest will donate:

  • US$1 per kill by FlyQuest players
  • US$10 per Ocean Drake by any team in an LCS or Academy game
  • US$100 per win from FlyQuest teams

Along with the summer-themed initiative, fans can also contribute to the cause by buying the new SunnyQuest merch.

The entire collection is made of 25% recycled materials, where a portion of merch sales will go to ASES.

A must-have for fans, the new 2021 SunnyQuest jersey incorporates FlyQuest’s new logo as a rising sun over Mt. Fuji with summer pines in the foreground.

FlyQuest will play their first LCS Summer match against Counter Logic Gaming on June 5 at 10 a.m. GMT+8.
