German rookie, Marc “Canee” Behrend, has been picked up by SK Gaming to join its roster for the remainder of the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) Summer Split 2020.

Previously from OP innogy eSport, Canee will play as the substitute jungler for SK. He stands at a 42% win rate record in all of his matches and is known for having a 100% win rate using Shyvana.

LEC fans might witness Canee’s debut in the upcoming Superweek where best-of-one matches will be played for three straight days from Saturday until Monday.

“He is a player with a fantastic work ethic and great mechanical skill and we are very pleased to have him here. He will add necessary depth to our Super Week playoff run and this will be a great opportunity for him to gain invaluable knowledge for the future,” said SK League of Legends General Manager Joe Elouassi.

This decision by SK Gaming might be one of their steps in preparation for the 2020 World Championship (Worlds). In the situation that the team’s main jungler Kim “Trick” Gang-yun is unable to attend Worlds in Shanghai, China this September, Canee will take his place if SK Gaming earns a spot for the international tournament.
