The verdict is in!
League of Legends fans around the world have nothing but praise for “Arcane”, Riot’s first animated series.
The series boasts a star-studded cast, including Ella Purnell (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Army of the Dead) as Jinx and Hailee Steinfeld (Hawkeye, True Grit) as Vi in the lead roles.
Harry Lloyd (Game of Thrones, The Theory of Everything) plays an early incarnation of the champion Viktor, who is almost unrecognizable compared to his in-game version.
Several new characters introduced to League of Legends lore are also in the animated series, including Mel Medarda, voiced by Toks Olagundoye (Castle, Ducktales).
In an exclusive interview with ONE Esports, Ella Purnell, Harry Lloyd and Toks Olagundoye share their reactions on being “newbies” to the League of Legends fandom, and what it was like working with Riot Games’ Arcane creators and executive producers Christian Linke and Alex Yee on the project.
