The Mortal Kombat movie remake is gaining momentum with the announcement of the newest additions to its cast.
The Raid’s Joe Taslim was revealed to play Sub-Zero in July. Now, the Hollywood Reporter has, well, reported the addition of the following actors and roles:
- Mehcad Brooks (James Olsen in TV’s Supergirl) as Jax
- Tadanobu Asano (Hogun in Marvel’s Thor movies) as Raiden
- Sisi Stringer (Australian actress) as Mileena
- Ludi Lin (2017’s Power Rangers) as Liu Kang
The new cinematic reimagining of the iconic fighting game will be produced by James Wan (Aquaman, The Conjuring franchise) and Todd Garner (TAG) and will be helmed by first-time feature film director Simon McQuoid.
The film is slated for a March 2021 release.
