How to start A Land on Fire Quest in FFXIV
Before taking the quest, you’ll need to finish “The Ultimate Weapon” Main Scenario Quest (MSQ) and be at least Level 50.
First, acquire the limited-time “A Land on Fire” quest from the Neophyte Adventurer. You can find him in the Emerald Avenue in Ul’Dah (x:8.8,y:9.8). Teleport to the “Ul’dah – Steps of Nald” Aetheryte for the shortest route.
He’ll give you the next objective, which is to speak to another NPC at the Burning Wall in Eastern Thanalan. From there, you’ll need to use the spyglass at the vantage point to survey the nearby field — and make an unusual discovery.
How to ‘Make an unusual discovery’ in A Land on Fire Quest
The quest area is made up of two rocky platforms connected by a blue, crystalline bridge. The ground is full of glowing fauna, making it hard to find anything out of the ordinary. But if you zoom in at the right spot, you’ll find what you’re searching for.
To make an unusual discovery, zoom in on the platform closest to you. Look over at the leftmost yellow rock. There you’ll find the personal effects of a certain Rosarian Knight. Zooming in further will trigger a cutscene, completing the quest’s objective.
The highly-awaited crossover was first teased in a short announcement in October 2023. Since then, fans of the critically-acclaimed MMORPG have looked forward to the collab’s limited-time rewards, which have historically been top-tier.
Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XVI’s Crossover Event “The Path Infernal” started on April 2, 2024 and will end on May 8, 2024 at 7:59 a.m. PDT.
The collaboration event includes Gold Saucer cards of the Final Fantasy 16’s protagonists, a Torgal mount, specialized outfit pieces and much more for players to discover.
