Upon entering your first area in Witchfire, a towering structure looms in the distance. At first glance it may seem like a map aesthetic, but The Wailing Tower is a challenging area in Witchfire that requires players to solve a series of puzzles to unlock its secrets.

How to unlock Wailing Tower in Witchfire
The Wailing Tower is located in the middle of the Island of the Damned and is currently sealed by a red ominous barrier. Approaching the entrance will trigger the tower’s defense mechanism that will spawn enemies.
This will give you the quest to find the “missing part” of the statue in order to disable the tower’s defenses. Additionally, you’ll need to clear seven designated areas across the map.
These areas house the Ceremonial Obelisks, which will later play a crucial role in progressing through the tower.
Finding the missing part of the statue (Saint Albert’s Scepter)
Saint Albert’s Scepter is located in the eastern part of the Island of the Damned. As you explore, the scepter’s location will be marked on your map.
Upon reaching the area you’ll find a hooded corpse clutching the scepter. Clear the area and Once it’s safe, you can claim the scepter.
Ceremonial Obelisks locations
There are seven Ceremonial Obelisks scattered across the northwestern part of the map. Interacting with each obelisk unlocks a brazier symbol on your map.
These shrines contain hints that reveal the correct order in which the fires must be activated once inside the Wailing Tower. Once unlocked, you can view the descriptions of each obelisk by hovering over the brazier icon on the map.
Opening Wailing Tower doors
After following the steps above, return to the Wailing Tower doors, and if there are enemies present, clear the area. Once it’s safe, interact with the statue on the right to place Saint Albert’s Scepter in its hands.
If you have 5,000 Volatile Witchfire Crystals, you can rush (or dodge) through the enemies, interact with the statue twice to charge the scepter, and purge all enemies in the area, making the process much quicker.
How to solve Wailing Tower puzzle in Witchfire
Upon entering the Wailing Tower, you’ll find seven braziers encircling a skeletal statue. To solve the puzzle, you must activate them in the correct sequence, but this requires Gnosis 2 to perform the ritual.
Each brazier is marked with Roman numerals (I–VII) on your map, providing clues on the activation order. Use these hints from the Ceremonial Obelisks to match them with the correct braziers and proceed deeper into the tower.
