The gaming world is about to get a major boost for diversity thanks to this series of esports tournaments for women.

Sky Broadband and Guild Esports, co-owned by David Beckham, have joined forces to launch the UK’s first-ever women-only esports initiative.

This exciting series of tournaments kicks off in April 2024, providing a platform for talented female gamers to compete and showcase their skills.

Initiative includes esports tournaments for women, chance to go pro, and more — the first-of-its-kind in the UK

This initiative aims to address the underrepresentation of women in esports.

The winners will not only receive cash prizes, but the top players from each tournament (Racers Eseries and Soccer Eseries) will be awarded coveted professional contracts and Sky Broadband for 18 months, paving the way for their esports careers.

With a total prize pool of £50,000, the initiative ensures all finalists are rewarded for their dedication. This inclusive approach fosters a supportive environment for female gamers to thrive.

This innovative project is a significant step towards creating a more diverse and equitable esports industry in the UK. It’s a win for talented women gamers, a win for esports as a whole, and a sign of exciting things to come.
