We’re finally returning to Midgar.

Square Enix’s iconic JRPG, Final Fantasy VII Remake, will hit the Sony PlayStation next year, and the developer also dropped a new, action-heavy trailer as well.

Released over 22 years ago, the remake for FFVII has been long in the works. The game was announced at E3 2015, but has not appeared in any subsequent E3 events till date.

With the lead up to this year’s E3 though, Square Enix has been dropping hype bombs, including releasing an updated trailer during a PlayStation event last month.

Square Enix’s E3 conference will take place tomorrow at 9 a.m. (GMT+8), and we’ll be waiting to see just what other details will be revealed, including how the developer plans to split up the game into multiple parts.
