Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte on Phantom Lancer and Armel Paul “Armel” Tabios on a mid-lane Doom led TNC Predator in dominating fellow Southeast Asian team Reality Rift (RR) in their best-of-one elimination match at DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major.

Instead of having Doom as either their offlaner or Position 4 support as usual, TNC opted to give it to Armel to counter Vincent “AlaCrity” Hiew Teck Yoong’s Shadow Fiend. With Armel manning the front lines, Gabbi’s Phantom Lancer was free to run roughshod over the RR lineup — even scoring a Triple Kill when TNC got a teamwipe in a fight at the 20-minute mark.

Just as RR seemed like they finally found the fight they needed to get back into the game, Armel turned the tides when he dodged AlaCrity’s Eul’s Scepter-into-Requiem of Souls combo at the last second by popping his Black King Bar.

With pressure from their opponents mounting, RR ill-advisedly ventured out of their base to try and take the top Outpost but ended up losing four heroes. That gave TNC the opening they needed to close out the game after 36 minutes.

TNC advance to the next round of the Lower Bracket where they will be facing the winners of the Upper Bracket match between Team Secret and Fnatic.

Meanwhile, RR bow out of the Leipzig Major in 13th-16th place with US$12,500 and 100 Dota Pro Circuit points.
