The Main Event for The International 2020 (TI10) — the premier global Dota 2 tournament — will take center stage on August 18-23, Valve has confirmed. The matches will be held live in the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden

While the Group Stage dates for TI10 have yet to be announced, they are expected to happen around August 13-16, followed by a one-day break before the Main Event.

Valve announced that TI10 will be held in Stockholm during the final day of the TI9 Main Event.

Bringing The International back to Europe for its tenth iteration is a sensible decision by Valve, given the strength of European teams such as two-time reigning TI champions OG, last season’s Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) top-rankers Team Secret, TI9 runner-ups Nigma Esports, and Sweden-based Alliance.

We’re still a long way away from the tournament with four Major cycles left to go in the Dota Pro Circuit. Next up is the DreamLeague Leipzig Major that is slated for January 2020, followed by the ESL One Los Angeles Major in March and a yet-to-be-announced Major in May.

The last Major before TI10 is the ONE Esports Singapore Major in June, to be held in the Singapore Indoor Stadium on June 20-28.
