Team Secret dominated Natus Vincere (Na’Vi) in the Grand Finals of the Gamers Without Borders charity Dota 2 tournament to walk away with a second-straight online championship in a week.

With their win, Secret earned the right to donate the US$750,000 grand prize, which they decided to split evenly between Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance and The International Red Cross as well as the Red Crescent Movement.

Hot off the heels of their 3-0 sweep of Virtus.pro to win the WePlay! Pushka League last week, Secret flexed their muscles once more and dominated Na’Vi in another clean 3-0 series. Secret notably sealed the deal in game three of the finals with unusual picks in a carry Nightstalker for Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen and a support Luna for Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat.

In response to Na’Vi’s four-protect-one strategy headlined by a lategame monster in Terrorblade, Secret countered with a strong midgame tri-core of Nighstalker for Matumbaman, Queen of Pain for Michal “Nisha” Jankowski, and Timbersaw for Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg. Meanwhile, YapzOr was put on a support Luna and Puppey was on Ogre Magi to buff up their cores.

With YapzOr providing bonus damage and armor bonus from his hero’s Lunar Blessing aura, Secret quickly built up their tri-core to fighting shape then went on the offensive in a bid to end the game early. In a drawn-out engagement by Na’Vi’s bottom tier two tower around the 19-minute mark, Secret won a six-for-three kill trade to take control of the game.

Secret built up a 12,000 gold lead by the 24-minute mark as they methodically forced their opponents to shut in their base. After Na’Vi lost two heroes in a foolhardy venture outside of their base, Secret took advantage of the opening to break open the enemy base and force the GG call just before the game reached 30 minutes.

Zai had a game-high 12 kills and six assists against just two deaths, while Nisha notched a clean 9 kills of his own, to lead Secret in winning yet another tournament in absolutely dominant fashion.
