Virtus.pro (VP) has announced that Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok will join the team as their new offlaner, while Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosyan has been benched to facilitate his transfer to a new team.

Resolut1on returns to the CIS region after mostly playing with North American teams since 2016, when he joined Digital Chaos and helped them to a second place finish at The International 2016 (TI6). This also marks the second time that Resolut1on will be playing for VP, as he first joined the org in 2013 as the position-1 player.

Resolut1on will replace Pavel “9pasha” Khvastunov who left for Natus Vincere earlier this month, joining Alexei “Solo” Berezin and Vladimir “no[o]ne” Minenko as VP rebuilds for the 2019-2020 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season.

“I’m happy to welcome Resolut1on to the team. He’s a brilliant player, and we’ll do everything in our power to see his return to CIS go successfully,” said VP General Manager Roman Dvoryankin in a statement.

VP also announced that Egor “epileptick1d” Grigorenko, the top-ranked player of the European ladder, will join the team on trial as the position-1 player for the squad’s first set of qualifiers for the season. epileptick1d replaces Roman “Ramzes666” Kushnarev who left for Evil Geniuses.

VP hinted that they will reveal their new position-4 player to replace RodjER soon.

“Egor is among the most promising young players in our region, and we’ve decided to give him a chance to prove himself,” Dvoryankin said.

“We’ll make the final decision about his future in the team judging by the qualifier’s results. We’re grateful to RodjER for [an] amazing year and a half together, but we’re parting ways for now.”
